Policy & Coverage Questions
Determining the right amount of coverage can be complex. Our experienced agents will work with you to assess your unique risks and needs. We'll ask detailed questions about your assets and lifestyle to recommend a policy that provides adequate protection without unnecessary costs.
An **excess** is the amount of money you must pay out-of-pocket before your insurance coverage begins to pay for a covered loss. For example, if you have a KSh 5,000 excess on your motor insurance and you file a claim for KSh 20,000 in damage, you would pay the first KSh 5,000, and your insurance company would pay the remaining KSh 15,000.
A **premium** is the regular payment you make to your insurance company to keep your policy active. Premiums can be paid monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually.
An **insurance cover note** is a temporary proof of insurance. It's often issued immediately after you purchase a policy and provides coverage for a limited time until the formal policy documents are issued by your insurer.
Claims & Servicing Questions
If you need to file a claim, you should contact your insurance company directly. We will provide you with the claim filing number and can assist you throughout the process to ensure a smooth experience.
We can advise on the best payment method for your policy. Most insurance companies in Kenya offer various options, including bank transfers, M-Pesa, or direct payments at their offices. We'll guide you to the correct payment channel for your specific policy.
To update your policy (e.g., change your address, add a new vehicle, etc.), please contact our office directly. We will work with your insurer to ensure all your information is accurate and your coverage meets your current needs.
